Box 1 contains correspondence and miscellaneous documents, including Underwood family deeds (1792-1857); Bliss family correspondence and genealogy (1951-1957); Thomas J. Edson military papers (1861-1865; 1889); J.B. Underwood/Woodward family correspondence (1860s); Thomas J. Edson correspondence (1863-1866), pension records (1867-1916) and deeds (1856-1867). Box 2 contains ledgers of B.N. and W.W. Tyler, Bradford, Vt. (1806-1842) and John Underwood, Jr. (1819-1861). Oversize material includes Civil War correspondence written on muster rolls.

Edson, a corporal in 38th Iowa Volunteer Infantry. Edson's regiment occupied Mobile Bay, Ala. (1864). Woodward family correspondence (1851-1866) includes two Civil War letters from Edmond Woodward. Underwood family papers consist primarily of deeds (1792-1857)....
